Today I felt more comfortable when arriving into the office as I had a better understanding of what I would be working towards and how to use the CRM which is ActiveCampaign.
I continued to update details of clients and ensuring the entrepreneurs are going to be attending Thursday’s Lead Gen Academy, as well as organising a second event for the following week for those who are unable to attend on Thursday.
Today I have also learnt that it is crucial to consider your telephone manner when you are on the phone to clients, such as your tone of voice and use of language as it is crucial to have a professional manor when taking calls on behalf of the organisation. For example, I phoned a company and requested to speak to one of their employees in which the receptionist proceeded to have a very unprofessional manor, which allowed me to learn from his mistakes and to remember the importance of how you should come across when communicating with clients.
Mid-morning, Richard and I caught up with Susan Payton from The Business of Stories (https://thebusinessofstories.com), who is also our community manager and takes care of the VIP Facebook community group which contains all members of The Lead Gen Academy. I learnt that is it is important to help memebrs think about the group as a good resource and to use it to its full potential by asking questions, sharing successes and requesting help.
I was then able to personally join the Lead Gen Academy Facebook community and introduce myself to the members within it, although I had already been in contact with majority of the members to confirm their attendance.
It is crucial to encourage everyone to become more interactive within the group, so we came up with an idea for all members to participate in a ‘share day’. This will be were latest blogs, podcasts and blogs would be shared. Everyone within the group has unique talents and skills which could benefit others within the community in order to help one another become more successful.
We also planned a second event that contain’s just five members, which is for those who are unable to attend the main Lead gen Academy on Thursday. I took time organising this event, making contact with all who have been invited to confirm that they would be available to attend.
A Good Second Day,
